  • Thomas Dufresne (Marc Paquet) is the ugly duckling of his bright bourgeois family. It is not until the beautiful and mischievous Audrey (Catherine de Lean) enters his life that Thomas's talent emerges and his difficult parents ore suddenly impressed.

    Timid Thomas is utterly unprepared to deal with Audrey, who is unpredictable, secretive, full of surprises, and becomes a fixture in his life overnight. When Thomas begins to suspect that she is seeing another man, he is not surprised, but the feelings of jealousy and rage that confound his middle class sensibilities ore unexpected. Even Thomas's brilliant mother is left speechless as the truth unfolds.

    Writer/director Stephane Lapointe's debut feature is as mischievous and intriguing as its femme fatale, Audrey. At times darkly comic, but ultimately tragic, the Dufresnes ore undoubtedly the architects of their own demise.
